Socks

The socks are knitted wool/nylon and the heater wires are threaded into the knit around the toe area only.
Because of the restriction of the weight factor we produce battery packs which consist of four NiMH rechargeable AA batteries which produce 4.8 volts. and are fitted with a clip which can be hooked onto the top of the sock (one per leg).
Disposable batteries may be used which will give you a higher voltage and therefore more heat, but are an expensive alternative.
The socks are not designed to be hot which can cause further problems but rather a gentle warmth around the toes.
We can provide socks for different power supplies for wheel chairs, fork-lift trucks etc., which are normally 12 volts.
We can also supply a 12 volt battery which weighs 1.3 Kgs. and measures 135mm x 67mm x 67mm.
